The Chinese Super League (CSL) title race is heating up as the top teams close in on a points gap that could determine the winner.
With just 12 games left to play, there are four teams within striking distance of the league lead - Shanghai Shenhua, Guangzhou Evergrande, Beijing Guoan and Jiangsu Sainty.
Shanghai Shenhua, who currently sit at the top of the table with 48 points, have been in excellent form recently, winning their last three matches to extend their lead over second-placed Guangzhou Evergrande.
Beijing Guoan, meanwhile, have also had a strong season so far, sitting in third place with 46 points after winning five of their last six matches.
Jiangsu Sainty, who were once considered outsiders for the title, have made a stunning comeback this season, currently sitting in fifth place with 44 points after winning seven of their last nine matches.
The remaining two teams in the race, Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG, both sit just one point behind the leaders, but they will need to win all of their remaining fixtures to stand any chance of catching the top three teams.
Overall, the CSL title race has become more competitive than ever before, with each team fighting hard to secure their spot in next year's AFC Champions League. With just 12 games left to play, it looks like we're in for a thrilling conclusion to what promises to be an exciting season.
